February 2002. October 2004. June 2008. And now June 2011. The trend continues. A few months ago, I wrote about Boston’ sports fan being the most spoiled of them all. One team wins and gains national exposure as much as the NFL owners locking out their players. In the mean...

With Labor Day 2010 gone like Tiger Wood’s first marriage, we, New England Sports Fans, turn our attention to three leagues: The National Football League (NFL), the National Basketball Association (NBA), and the National Hockey League (NHL).   Unfortunately, our own Boston Red Sox got injured on their way of being mentioned as a title contender this year.  It is all right.  Our local teams have collectively spoiled us in a way that we always have something worthy to ...

College Football is what I mean. It usually starts around the week of December 25th, and continues until the big championship sometimes early January. For most of us, this is the time of the year when everybody is making a list. This list is usually handed to a loved one, who will eventually buy, at least, one of these "gifts" for you. Most of the times, this "gift" is supposed to enable you to have something you did not have before. It is almost a similar process in sports, except the supply of what you need is limited, and the demand is extremely high.

Right after losing Game 7 of the American League Championship Series...
